Les 11è Rencontres Autour du Saule in Bouxurulles started today, 18 May, and we are there as visitors. Weaving courses are taking place everywhere on site until Friday, and we have already looked curiously over the shoulders of the participants.
Fortunately, the campsite in Charmes is not too far from Bouxurulles, so you can afford to drive back and forth in between. We made ourselves comfortable at Camping Les Iles yesterday. It is dry, but very windy with strong gusts of around 40km/h, so that in the evening the temperature quickly drops to 5-7 degrees and you feel chilly. But the caravan is a warm retreat.
The site is well-kept and really cosy, situated between the Moselle and the Canal de Vosges.
Bouxurulles is on the agenda again for tomorrow. I’m sure we’ll have a look at the exhibition in the church and there will certainly be something or other to discover. Let’s be surprised.
