Winter break almost over

Well, I didn’t really have a winter break. Rather, it was a break from the market. Because I had enough to do in the past four months. But it’s very pleasant not to have to get a cold nose at all kinds of markets during the winter. I prefer to stay in the warm workshop.

However, I am always looking forward to the next market season with the first farmers’ market in Bad Salzhausen in March. After all, it means that spring will soon begin; precisely on 20 March at 10:24 pm.

I have a total of 9 appointments this year, which I have confirmed. That’s a big difference compared to the past with up to 18 markets. But as it is now, I find it more relaxed. I can produce in peace between the markets and can also accept orders in between.

The favourite Ambiente Camping Medieval Market in Himbach is unfortunately cancelled this year. For years I have always been an enthusiastic participant, but now I am disappointed that the town of Limeshain has cancelled the market date in June, which has been known for years. At least that is the official statement of the organisers.

So I have a clear schedule, which gives me enough space to take care of the basket-making craft, but also leaves me room to do or not do what I (don’t) want to do.

With this in mind, I’ll see you on 5 March in Bad Salzhausen, the starting signal for my small but fine market season.
