A large rocking chair found its way into my workshop a few days ago. The seat fabric was gone. Upon closer inspection, it doesn’t surprise me, as the distances between the individual drill holes are very far apart at 3cm (!).
The result is a wide-meshed seat that was not able to cope with long-term stress. In my opinion, a replacement with natural material made no sense here. For this reason, in consultation with the customer, I used the more stable cotton braided band for the seat.
