Company holidays, vacation, time off – whatever you want to call it. The destination, if the travel budget allows it, is, as it has always been for many years, the Île de Beauté – Corsica.
This time we planned to travel via Toulon, with an overnight stay just outside Lyon, to Porto Vecchio. But the ferry company quickly set the destination port to Bastia due to bad weather. So the usual route that we already know inside and out.
But also with something positive – enjoying the sunrise in Alistro.
Even though we have already seen a lot on the island, there is always something new to discover. It’s just stupid when the weather doesn’t cooperate. The plan was to spend a few days on the west coast with a bus and an awning. But the weather forecast ultimately stopped us from starting the tour. So the project was quickly postponed until the next company holidays.
I was well equipped for the weather that wasn’t so good. Around 80 willows in a HT tube for soaking and later intertwining on the terrace. Little things that can be bought at my stand at the last farmers’ market in Bad Salzhausen on October 30th.
Three weeks just went by far too quickly and then departure was suddenly just around the corner. But this time on the desired route from Porto Vecchio via Sardinia to Toulon and once across France home with a stopover at a campsite in the Vosges.
Like many others, you have the feeling that you only left yesterday and that your vacation was over far too quickly. What remains are the memories of the many stays in Corsica and the planning of the vacation planned for 2023.
