With new basketry and, above all, in sufficient quantities, we were there again at the farmers’ market in Bad Salzhausen. Sun, blue sky and a little wind every now and then made for a very pleasant day as far as the weather was concerned.
However, after setting up we had to do without the usual breakfast sausage from our favorite butcher Meige. No sales van and therefore no bratwurst from the grill. And some other market stalls were missing too. The alternative supply was then provided by the Rank bakery.
The flow of visitors was very limited throughout the day. And as we found out, things weren’t much different in June, when we couldn’t be there. Why and how, one can only speculate.
Two statements from visitors who only found their way to Bad Salzhausen through information on my homepage or from my social media were interesting. It was independently criticized that little was known about the market beyond the borders of Nidda. The farmers’ market was not found by visitors on the official website in the search engines. Only my event entries were suggested there, along with others of course, and they then set off. Regardless of how and what you search for via Google etc. If you don’t know the farmers’ market in Bad Salzhausen from the outset, you’ll hardly find it in the search results from the national area.
So I’m a little bit proud that two visitors found their way to the farmers’ market solely through me or my online presence.
There was something else pleasant, namely the musical performance from 3 p.m. A new duo has finally brought some variety to the ears with hits from the 60s to 80s.
If we draw a conclusion from this market day, we sold a few things, there were few visitors and fewer stands and there was finally musical variety.
