The first regional market in Ortenberg on the NABU site is over. The tent was comfortably set up and everything was prepared for a sunny market day. We didn’t have any great expectations. A few visitors were already out and about before 10 a.m. But within a very short time, the isolated situation turned into a rush. As if there was no tomorrow, the NABU site was literally stormed by visitors.

The people in charge and helpers at NABU Ortenberg were also literally overwhelmed. Nobody really expected such a positive response. Neither NABU, the food stations nor the market feeders were prepared for such a response.

It was also nice for us to finally see those market feeders again who we know from the many other markets and who we haven’t seen for two Corona years.

Shortly before 6 p.m., many agreed that the first regional market was a complete success. Both for the event organizer and for most market suppliers. At least that’s the opinion of those we know personally.

Whether there will be another or several regional markets in the future is solely in the hands of the organizers. We advocate a spring and autumn market. All NABU Ortenberg helpers are here on a voluntary basis and have other tasks to take on throughout the year.

But even though rumors are already doing the rounds that there would be another market in the fall, it is definitely not certain yet. But desirable in any case.
