It was a spontaneous decision to take part in this market. We were able to experience a beautiful market for two days together with our French neighbors at the imposing citadel of Bitche.
How did you come up with this idea? Just for the fun of it without necessarily thinking about sales. We set off with a bus and caravan and spent a weekend in France. We were surprised by the many German market colleagues and the stands of the French traders.
Based on the equipment, you could see from afar who belonged to which nationality. And you’re welcome to guess who had a stand with a garden pavilion and who didn’t. Whatever the case, it was important to us that the focus was on fun. And we definitely had that.
The communication between each other was also interesting. With translations from Spanish into French and then into German and back again. Everything was still supported with hands and feet. And it worked, as we were amazed to discover. A weekend in Bitche that we will certainly look back on fondly from time to time.
