Today we were “sight people” in Bad Salzhausen at the artists’ festival. We met dear colleagues who had their stand there and we chatted a lot.
But what was surprising to me was that an older lady came by and asked, “You’re the basket maker, aren’t you?” to which I answered “yes”.
She then told me that she once bought a large basket from me and how happy she is with it and how she uses it regularly.
As I now know, she bought the basket in April 2012. And it makes me a little proud that I am still recognized after more than 4 years and that people are more than satisfied with the quality of my basketry.
Statements like this always reassure me that I made the right decision in 2011.
