Some time ago I received a request if I could weave a Roman basket. After it was clarified what was meant by a Roman basket, I have now completed a copy: diameter approx. 30cm and a height of almost 60cm.
The basket was commissioned by the Römisches Forum e.V. support association and will be picked up next Saturday. I’m curious to see whether the result meets the club’s ideas and specifications.
This example is intended to hold arrows. If the basket had handles, then according to the club’s experts it would be a bulwark.
