Four weeks of company holidays and relaxation in Corsica in 2017/2018 mean even more work after this wonderful holiday period. Many inquiries via email or on the answering machine were waiting to be processed upon return. And some orders for chair weaves still had to be processed. Besides, it’s not long until the first market. But everything is in peace.
There is no comparison between the Corsican calmness and the German “Everything has to go fast” and “no time”, “best yesterday” mentality. What are we all so excited about? Just so we can get to the result more quickly and request a new one more quickly? And as a consequence there are heart attacks, stomach ulcers, stress, burnout and so on.
So don’t jump into high gear straight away, but instead calmly replace the chair weaves or weave baskets. Quality also means a little more time and the price doesn’t change for the customer. In addition, I have often had the experience that those who want an order completed quickly are also the ones who take a lot of time to pick it up. So what was I rushing for?
Consumers are used to having everything delivered immediately and tomorrow, thanks to online trading and free returns. No advice and the effort of bringing all the packages back to the post office in batches is accepted. But please quickly, because the time lost has to be made up somehow so that you can place your next order online somewhere else; always hoping to maybe get the right thing.
With me there are nice conversations, detailed advice and, if desired, personal contact at the markets, during braiding courses, in the Ranstadt creative and gourmet shop or even when shopping in the supermarket. And so far every customer has been happy with what I have done for them. At least to this day and for 7 years now, I have not heard any complaints from “Korbmacherei Kreative Finger”. It’s probably down to the calm and composure to deliver quality work.
