Recently I was able to hand over a really beautiful armchair from Thonet with a new seat to its owner. Such chairs are sometimes a challenge because the old weaving threads often run directly where the front chair legs are glued to the seat frame. And since I’m not a carpenter and can’t take the chair apart, blind holes have to be drilled. The threads are then glued into these using a small wooden wedge. This is also the case with this chair in four places.
