Is she coming or isn’t she coming?

I’ve been asking myself this question for a few years now just before Old Town Pur. This refers to the cat that has always visited me during the day.

It was set up in a light drizzle and the only person left with me was Andreas from Lederstübchen Ranstadt in the entire Untergasse. There were also very few art and craft stalls in the old town of Ortenberg. There was talk of only 11 stands (but I didn’t count it). It’s actually a shame, because by midday it stopped raining and the sun came out and with it the first visitors arrived.

The cat also came out and made itself comfortable on my workboard. Demonstrating craftsmanship was then over.

It felt like there was a lot less going on than in previous years and you didn’t get to see much of the program either. But at 5:30 p.m. Desmadre Orkesta from Argentina really let it rip in front of the tent. Really great music that made everyone’s feet and hips twitch and demand an encore.

And that’s all there is to report about yesterday’s 17th Old Town Pur.

It remains to be seen how the trend of Altstadt Pur develops. Especially when it comes to the market and the number of stalls.
