The idea was clear and I already had a first result, namely the basket. But what is the name of the part that I still need to finish the shoulder basket? The carrying strap is threaded through it so that the length of the strap can be individually adjusted.
The result of the research is that the objects I am looking for are ladder buckles. However, they were not available in the fabric shop in the neighbouring town, at least not in the size I was looking for. Ordering them in the shop would take too long. So I ordered online, where the selection is larger and the right material is also available.
The straps are made of cotton and the ladder buckle is made of old brass. I’ll have them with me to the next farmers’ market in April.
