Bouxurulles is a small village with around 180 inhabitants in the Vosges mountains in the Grand Est region. And once a year, the meeting is organised around the willow. From Thursday to Sunday, everything revolves around the willow and what can be woven from it.
Thursday and Friday are characterised by weaving courses by international basket makers, spread throughout the village. Unfortunately, you never know exactly where and with whom the courses take place so that you can look over the shoulders of the participants. But that changes at the weekend, when the small market square by the old wash house is transformed into a small basket market. This is where the fine market takes place:
