Yesterday’s farmers’ market heralded the end of the Kurpark era, at least for the next few years. From 7 July, large parts of the Kurpark will be turned inside out for the 2027 State Garden Show, leaving no more room for a market or a spa concert.
How and where the farmers’ market will take place from August is still (still) in the planning stage and uncertain, as the contact persons for the use of private land are not known due to a change of ownership. But there are still four weeks to inform the market organisers how and where things will continue.
One option that is probably being discussed is a three-part farmers’ market. The large vehicles in the Kurallee, some of the vehicles still in the car park below the spa and tourist information centre and the rest in front of the Kurhaushotel. However, the latter has not yet been approved, as the owner has apparently changed and has not yet given his consent.
It therefore remains to be seen how the future of the farmers’ market will develop and which solution will ultimately prevail.
So yesterday’s market was also the last in the beautiful ambience of the Kurpark. With some new products and pre-orders in tow. The temperatures were quite pleasant at 22°, but the closed cloud cover and occasional light rain were undesirable. Unfortunately, the number of visitors was also somewhat restrained. Whether this was due to the weather or the start of the holidays remains to be seen. On the other hand, there were plenty of lime blossoms, which covered everything and everyone throughout the day with every gust of wind.
