Chair cane work with 126 drill holes renewed

⏱️ 1 min read

A beautiful chair has found its way into my workshop. The chair’s wickerwork needs to be replaced. Less beautiful are the 126 drill holes. The original plan was to reduce the chair to just the seat. In the end, all that remained was to remove the armrests. The other screws had rusted and were probably stuck fast to the wood. And before anything breaks…

It was a bit more complicated to gradually replace the seat with cotton webbing after removing all the drill holes from the old webbing. 126 holes is a lot. So much so that I’m glad to finally have the seat finished. The pain in my arm got worse and worse over time, so I’m not taking any orders for now and will let my arm heal.
