Travagliu incaricatu finitu is Corsican and means ‘work completed’. Two chairs with woven seats and a wooden basket woven around a metal shell.
The woven seats were, of course, made using cotton webbing. A relaxed job instead of having to deal with the constantly breaking rattan threads of the chair cane. And visually, the cotton webbing is an eye-catcher anyway.
Katja picked up a metal bowl at the last farmers’ market, which was used as an insert in a wooden basket that could no longer be repaired. Katja wove a new wooden basket to fit the bowl.
Oh, and by the way: the Corsican headline has nothing to do with the works. I just felt like it :-)
