Costs for handle repairs & basket handles

⏱️ 1 min read

Transparent prices and clear reasons for the current price changes.

An overview of my new prices from 1 July 2026

  • Handle repair – €20.00
  • Replacing a basket handle – €10.00 per handle

These prices apply to standard repairs to wicker baskets.

Why a price adjustment has become necessary

1. Increased material costs

Natural materials such as wicker have become significantly more expensive in recent months. For repairs, I use only high-quality, well-stored materials that ensure long-lasting durability.

2. Higher operating and energy costs

Workshop running costs, energy, tool maintenance and material storage have become more expensive. These costs have a direct impact on repair prices.

Transparency Notice for Blog Posts:

As a traditional basketry workshop, a love for nature and honest craftsmanship are close to our hearts. Please note that our blog articles often consist of personal workshop reports, historical insights, or everyday stories. If general characteristics such as "natural," "chemical-free," or "biodegradable" are mentioned in the texts, these refer solely to our untreated willow wickerwork. For quality reasons, we standardly use modern, durable cotton weaving tape when renewing chair caning. The currently valid material details, legally binding information, and appropriate care instructions for your product can be found on our information pages and in the FAQs.
