My weaving work

Woven baskets have been around since around 10,000 BC. BC, as finds in the Middle East show.
And all baskets have always been woven by hand, even today. Machine production is not possible.

In basket weaving, a wide variety of shapes are made using different materials. In addition to the well-known willows, wicker cane, boondoot, willow rails and Elha (seagrass) are also used.

From whole willow (peeled or as green willow with bark) everyday objects are made as beaten work, such as the shopping basket or laundry basket.

Willow rails are split and planed willows that are used for fine weaving. Among other things, delicate bowls, cans, etc. are made from this.

Wicker cane and boondoot are often used to make finer baskets. Your advantage lies in the lower weight of a basket. This material also provides the strength for everyday use.
