A basket is a woven container for filling and carrying the objects it contains. on handles or grips. I make baskets in many sizes, shapes and from different types of willow and sometimes in a mix of different willows or materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am regularly asked about baskets for a specific purpose. But what does the person asking have in mind? I simply don’t know. For me, all baskets are suitable for all purposes. You put something in it and then transport it in the basket. Regardless of whether the basket is round, oval, square, large, small, high, low, bulbous, semi-circular, with handles, leather straps or handles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So when I’m asked for a mushroom basket, for example, any of my baskets are suitable. There is no fixed definition here. A mushroom basket is a subjective conception of what the person asking the question imagines or knows, but I can only guess. The same applies to a picking basket, for example.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you ask a search engine for mushroom basket or picking basket, you get a wide variety of results displayed as images. There is not just one mushroom or picking basket, but many variations. And you can choose your basket depending on the area of use and your ideas or preferences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It’s only different for me if I have to recreate a specific basket, for example. In this case, I have a pattern for a picking or mushroom basket as the customer knows it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With a laundry, wooden or shopping basket, you usually have a certain size in mind that can generally be assumed, plus or minus a few centimetres.
