We were really looking forward to the basket weavers\u2019 gathering in Bouxurulles. As part of a little company outing in our new (old) basket-weaving and camping van, we pitched our tent in Charmes at the Camping L\u2019\u00eele aux mille Charmes campsite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The VW bus is now history. Instead, we now have a bright red bus. We quickly removed the bench seats, laid a new floor and then fitted a bed. The maiden voyage was the trip to France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In terms of space, it\u2019s a huge difference and you can take a lot of camping gear with you. We still need to test out exactly how the baskets will be transported in it. Hopefully by the next farmers\u2019 market in Bad Salzhausen in June. Because I\u2019m feeling reasonably fit again by now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The little basket market in Bouxurulles was the same as always. On Saturday, we had a look at the hustle and bustle of setting up. In the end, though, Katja realised that as a visitor it\u2019s always the same and somehow gets a bit boring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That might also be down to the mixed weather, as it was very changeable throughout the whole time. We had everything from brief showers to heavy downpours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We\u2019ll continue to pitch our tent in Charmes for a few days as a destination for short trips. But first and foremost, we won\u2019t necessarily do so with the ulterior motive of having to pop over to Bouxurulles.<\/p>\n\n\n
