The weather at the farmers’ market in Bad Salzhausen was as the forecast described. At the beginning completely overcast skies followed by short periods of sunshine and fortunately no precipitation.
Despite this good weather forecast, many stalls in the lower Kurpark were unfortunately missing. One can only speculate why. Be that as it may, we enjoyed the day and were pleased with the great musical accompaniment at the two spa concerts. Accompanied by music from the 50s to the 90s, our feet automatically swayed and we swayed to the rhythm. Songs from Catarina Valente to Andreas Berg to Helene Fischer and many more provided entertainment.
In the middle of the market, a woman came up to the stall and put a banknote in my hand. I must have looked very puzzled, because she explained that I had repaired her basket a long time ago (replaced the handle). And she thought afterwards that she had paid far too little for it or that I had charged too little. I was very happy about this appreciation of my work.
Here are some pictures of my basketry and a short video of the lower Kurpark, showing how few market stalls there were. Normally there is much more going on along the circular route.
