As already written in the article If it constantly cracks, the wicker chair made of natural material is no longer available in the quality that I am used to. The final chair weaving work was just torture for me. I always had to throw away about half of every 200 grams of chair wicker. In terms of costs alone, this is an aspect that I cannot ignore.
For this reason, I decided today to finally say goodbye to the chair braid tube and only use the cotton braid tape for chair braids. This saves my nerves when weaving and the customer still gets a stable chair weave at the same price and with the same look.
I have already been able to convince some of my customers of the cotton braided band as a high-quality replacement product and have delivered new chair braids made with this new material.
