In my last post I wrote about the Christmas market in Nidda at the end of November, because that was supposed to be the end of my 2021 market season for me. Our Klein & Fein store community had already prepared for this. The tent, decorations and duty roster had long since been agreed upon.
But yesterday, November 16th, 2021, the cancellation I had already feared came. The Christmas market will not take place.
For many of the market suppliers, traders and business people, the decision is certainly a small financial disaster. But what should you do in view of the constantly increasing number of infections and the intensive care units in hospitals that are becoming more and more full? And I can’t and don’t want to imagine a Christmas market as a two-class society.
So at the end of the season I only have the hope that everything will turn out well in the near future and I wish all readers, customers, acquaintances and friends a Merry Christmas and, above all, good health in these difficult times for everyone.
