A busy week after Stumpertenrod is slowly coming to an end. Commissioned work has been completed or prepared, I have given a chair weaving course and today I have a willow weaving course scheduled.

On a Thonet the seat fabric is finished. At times it was a huge amount of fiddling to tighten the threads; especially at the edge. But now all you have to do is glue the front chair legs back together and screw them together. That’s up to Ralf, who works with bone glue so that everything is and remains reversible.

Our canoe builder friend urgently needs a woven canoe seat. I definitely have to remember to take a few pictures with “my” seats in the canoe. They are really great canoes that he builds based on old models.

And today four course participants will try their hand at basket weaving at NABU Ortenberg. Everything is already prepared for this. And fortunately the heavy thunderstorms and rainfall of the last few days are finally over. It should be sunny and warm so we can braid outside.
