For two days it was a braiding course for me the other way around. After a long time it worked out this time and I was able to visit Inge, who I met last year in Ludwigsburg at the German-French Braiding Festival.
The rattle technique was in the foreground on both days of the visit. The hostess was waiting for us (Ralf and me) in the courtyard 7 minutes late and gave us a warm welcome. After a hearty lunch and a short tour of the house and workshop, we went into the garden, where, as a student, I was attentively taught the important tips on rattle technology.
The first objects were quickly finished and I learned a few tricks along the way. Although I had already had my first experience with the rattle technique by then, it was precisely these tricks that really made it. And these aren’t in any books.
On the second day we exchanged ideas in the workshop and further course objects were added. There are no pictures from that day because Inge’s husband took my photographer on a tour of some of the sights in the area.
At around 6 p.m. it’s time to say goodbye. We set off on the return journey with a defective steering gear on the VW bus.
Inge and Peter, thank you very much again for the warm welcome in your home and the time you spared for us. All in all it was a great stay with lovely hosts, delicious food and everything else.
