Two participants wanted to deepen their knowledge again 4 weeks after the first braiding course. So I set the requirements for these two a little higher and adjusted the shape and type of the end result. There will be a basket with integrated handles, some of which will now also use peeled willow. This is because peeled willows need to be interwoven more quickly as they dry out more quickly.
The other two people interested in weaving were beginners in basket weaving and this was about weaving a bowl out of unpeeled willow. And this task was also mastered.
This mixed course with beginners and advanced students worked well and everyone can be really proud of the weaving they created themselves.
I think everyone who took part enjoyed the braiding course because there was a lot of laughter. And we are sure to see one of the participants again for the third braiding course in 14 days, because she has set herself an ambitious project.
