Giving braiding courses is actually nothing special for me. But at the farmers’ market on Easter Sunday in Bad Salzhausen I was basically attacked and asked if I would also give a braiding course for adults as a birthday present.
After suggestions on site and a few emails later, it was clear that I would hold my braiding course in Frankfurt. The transport of pastures, tools and myself was organized because Frankfurt is not necessarily my city in terms of traffic.
When I arrived in Frankfurt, I was initially greeted with some suspicion, as I had not been invited by the birthday child. But once the mystery about this stranger was solved, the joy was even greater. In the inner courtyard, guests and hosts were able to weave willow spirals and ninsen baskets to their hearts’ content. The time flew by for everyone and after almost 5 hours, with short breaks, the braiding course was over.
I can say that everyone involved, including me, had a lot of fun making little weaves out of willow branches.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the friendly welcome, the transport and the pleasant hours and wish all course participants a lot of fun with their weavings.
And I wish the birthday child all the best, happiness and, above all, good health.
