As soon as September appears on the calendar, the first Sunday is already called the farmers’ market in Bad Salzhausen. After yesterday’s braiding course, it wasn’t time to sleep in, but rather to get up early with an alarm clock.
The car was already loaded and we arrived promptly at around 9:00 a.m. and were able to set up the tent in peace and quiet in the sunshine. After working so warmly, you noticed during the day that the temperatures had dropped significantly. It was warmest at 15° Celsius in the afternoon.
It was pleasing that the responsible employee from the city of Nidda was not averse to my application and therefore my participation in 2016.
In the meantime, the visitors have also adjusted to the fact that I am there with my basketry. No matter whether you have questions about a rearrangement or picking up an order, my market stand is now targeted.
And so I was pleased that some of my basketry changed hands in exchange for official currency.
I was even happier that we were able to put everything dry back in the car at the end of the market. Drying the tent tarpaulin is still problematic. But that too will soon change.
