Yesterday in Nidda – Ober Schmitten we went to the farmers’ market in Nidda – Bad Salzhausen today. Despite cloud cover with occasional glimpses of sunshine, there were a lot of visitors and buyers out and about for this market.
We set up the market tent on the regular spot that was probably planned for next year. In the meantime, some visitors have already come specifically to see me. Not necessarily to buy anything, but very interested in my basketry and nice conversations.
Today’s chair, in which I am renewing the seat fabric, has shown a lot of interest. Again and again I was surrounded by guests who wanted to know exactly what I was doing, how it was done, how long it took and, above all, how much it cost. Time flies by so quickly and suddenly the end of the day is here.
This was the last farmers market for me this year, but I’m already looking forward to March 6th, 2016 when it starts again.
