Seven more days, then we (finally) start again with braiding courses and markets. The long and yet too short period of market and price-free days are then numbered.
What didn’t I want to do and accomplish during this time? But the days and weeks are slipping away so that you feel like the last market was only yesterday. And even if there wasn’t an event in the calendar from December to March, that doesn’t mean I didn’t do anything.
The opposite was the case. I definitely didn’t get bored during that time. Many orders from the long queue had to be processed. And now, shortly before the start of the 2016 season, time is once again running out. What didn’t I want to braid? Then you realize again that the winter break isn’t long enough.
But I’m now looking forward to what I hope will be a successful year with great markets and lots of weaving students who want to get a taste of the art of basket making as beginners or advanced students.
From March to October I will now be regularly present at the farmers’ market in Bad Salzhausen (the exception is the first Sunday in October due to vacation). I was very happy about this promise. Every Saturday before the farmers’ market I pass on my knowledge at the braiding courses at NABU Ortenberg.
This year the focus is on the medieval markets in the region. Münzenberg, Seligenstadt, Limeshain and Friedberg are honored by my presence.
On a weekend in June, Ortenberg will take center stage with two different events. Once the gardener’s market together with NABU Ortenberg and the day after at Altstadt Pur.
