Capricious weather at the farmers market

After the first braiding course this year, we went to Bad Salzhausen the next day. The first farmers market of 2016 took place. According to the agricultural weather report, there should only be a 20% chance of rain. Bad Salzhausen was initially dry, but then apparently it was exactly around 20%.

Light to medium rain dripped onto the tent while we began to freeze inside. We had hot tea with ginger with us so that we could at least warm our fingers on the cup every now and then. We always looked longingly towards the sky, but the cloud cover didn’t promise any improvement. Despite adverse weather conditions, it did not stop many visitors from visiting the farmers’ market. Commendable and a bright spot on this day.

Unfortunately, heavy rain, which quickly turned into sleet and snow, accompanied the dismantling. Within a very short time we were completely soaked. And what could be nicer when cold rain runs down your neck so comfortably. Luckily the way home isn’t too long, so we were able to get out of our wet clothes quickly.

So that was the first market this year. It can only get better. At least as far as the weather is concerned.
