It repeats itself every year. Orders for chair weaves to be completed by Christmas. And like every year, I try to fit such requests into my schedule somehow, even if they are sometimes very short notice.
A little earlier it was the turn of the two chairs that can be seen below. One is finished and one is still in progress. The latter involves somewhat more complex work steps. Originally painted white, it had been stripped but the frame underneath the seat fabric was still painted. After removing dust and dirt, it glowed white. In order to be able to work better, the seat had to be dismantled. The paint was carefully sanded off and the now light beech wood was darkened slightly.
Now the seat is rewoven and then the chair can be delivered on time after assembly. And the next chairs are already waiting.
