It was pretty shady on March 4th, 2018 at the first farmers market in Bad Salzhausen. It was still possible to warm up to some extent during construction. But then all that was left was to shiver, drink hot ginger tea and wait to see whether the sun could still fight its way through the cloud cover.
And then around midday the time had come: we cast shadows. In fact, the sun has shown itself. The seating was quickly moved out of the tent into the sun and you could literally feel the slight rise in temperature.
And the sunshine and blue sky finally lured the market visitors out from behind the oven. Initially slow and sluggish, the time went by a lot quicker until the end of the market. And with the (dry!) dismantling, the sun slowly said goodbye.
The farmers’ market marks the start of the 2018 market season and I’m excited to see what hopefully positive surprises the year has in store.
