The spring festival on the Glauberg took place on 3 May 2015. And although the weather was unstable and rain was forecast, many visitors were not deterred from coming.

We had already set up the market tent the day before. We simply wanted to avoid having to spend the whole day at the market in wet clothes.

At 8.00 a.m. we quickly unloaded the wickerwork and then drove the car off the site again. It’s just too cramped for several vehicles on the upper terrace. Especially when all the other tents are set up as well.

The light rain throughout the day, with occasional dry spells, unfortunately forced us to present my basketry only in the tent. And as weaving courses and weaving demonstrations were also on the programme, it got pretty crowded in the tent.

Nice visitors, lots of questions and explanations made the time fly by. Unfortunately, the rain became heavier from 4.00 p.m. onwards and there were fewer and fewer visitors. So the organisers decided to end the market at 17:00.

So it was time to pack up. Get the car and load it up. We got very wet when we were taking down the tent. But luckily it was only a few kilometres home.

So now it’s time to get the tarpaulin dry again.

In any case, the organising team deserves a lot of praise. As usual, they were always present everywhere and took excellent care of the exhibitors. Thank you.
