Some time ago I received a request as to whether I could replace the backrests on two armchairs. As it later turned out, these were so-called half-solar braids. I couldn’t escape the challenge and so the two pieces of furniture found their way into my workshop.
First we had to take photos, take out the braid and drill out the blind holes. A job that my husband Ralf always does for me. And then it was my turn. A really time-consuming job and completely different from the usual Viennese braid. It was definitely exciting for me to be able to make such a braid. Because half-solar braids have not yet been able to be renewed in my workshop.
