Some more or less surprising customer inquiries and orders are still pending. This includes, of course, chair weaves, but also repairs to basketry. I only accept the latter in exceptional cases. Namely when they are not painted. This was also the case in the last case of a lid for a laundry basket, which of course, how could it be otherwise, was painted. I’ll probably re-weave the round lid, because I can’t repair it by painting it because the willow doesn’t absorb moisture when soaked and therefore doesn’t become flexible and pliable.
It has recently been decided that I will join Ranstadt Kreativ. This is an association of several artists/craftsmen from the Wetterau district who share a small shop.
At the Christmas market in Ranstadt on December 2nd, 2017 (3:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.) we will introduce ourselves and our products to the public and do a little advertising for ourselves.
And from December 5th, 2017 the shop will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. I’m excited to see how this little project develops.
