It took a lot of persuasion to convince me to take another basket weaving course. I received a specific request about this from an acquaintance last year. And the idea then developed into an event with five participants.

The premises for the course are provided by the children’s hotel in the old courtyard in Nidda-Wallernhausen. So yesterday I gathered the necessary tools, packed two parcels of soaked willow and today loaded everything into the car. So now it’s off to Wallernhausen.
Five participants were keen to learn how to weave a basket from willow. In the picture, I show how the base cross becomes the basket base and what Pfitze or Kimme have to do with it.

In total, we were busy for nine hours until the last participant had finished weaving her basket with integrated handles. Everyone can be proud of their results and was ultimately amazed at how different the results were, even though everyone had used the same amount of willow.
